The Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy [WRB40105] is a nationally recognised qualification, equipping you with the necessary skills and knowledge to embark upon a rewarding career as a Beauty Therapist. To achieve this qualification you must complete a total of 25 units of competency.
DURATION
2 evenings per week for a period of 15 months or 3 days per week for a period of 10 months, plus additional 'in salon' hours.

INTAKE
Both the Certificate IV and the Diploma in Beauty

PRE-REQUISTIES
Both the Certificate IV and the Diploma in Beauty Therapy do not require any pre-requisite studies, however, participants must have successfullycompleted Year 10 and be at least 16 years of age.
STUDENT CLINIC
You will perfect your skills by gaining valuable experience treating ‘actual’ clients in the CBA student clinic. The clinic is open to the public and provides traditional salon services on a ‘not for profit’ basis. This allows you to gain real work experience whilst being guided and supervised by a CBA Educator. There’s no better way to develop your confidence and reinforce your new found skills.
FACILITIES
The academy trains with specialised, up to date equipment and quality skin care products. A selection of relevant books are available to all participants for research and reference.
Our facility includes comprehensive treatment areas, makeup workshop, massage stations and a fully equipped IT room. Recreation areas and kiosk facilities are also available on-site.
NO HIDDEN COSTS
Course fees at CBA include your uniform, textbooks, notes, workbooks, products, linen, training resources and disposables for use in class time. Completion of a Senior First Aid Certificate is also included in the cost structure of Certificate IV and Diploma Programs. Certificate II students are not provided with a uniform. Course fees include everything that you will need to complete your training, ensuring that you are not surprised by extra costs after you have commenced.
ENROLMENT PROCEDURE
An appointment for a personal interview may be arranged with the academy’s principals. This allows the opportunity to discuss the course content in detail with you, and answer any questions you may have. As placements are limited the prospective student’s suitability may also be assessed.
Participants may enroll by paying a $500 deposit to secure their placement. RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Previous work experience or training courses may enable us to deem you competent in certain areas which will allow exemption from some modules. This process is referred to as ‘Recognition of Prior Learning ‘ (RPL). As a Registered Training Organisation, delivering nation-ally recognised training, CBA can assist you with this process.
