Working within a simulated work place environment, specific work skills are developed. These include:


TEAM EFFECTIVENESS
This units looks at team culture, decision making, problem solving, team objectives, goal setting, empathy, diversity, effective workplace communication and consultation.


TIME MANAGEMENT
In this unit participants learn about how to organize and complete their own work schedules by prioritising and monitoring their own performance. We cover time management, scheduling, goal setting and skills assessments in order to ensure skills are current and relevant.


WORKPLACE RELATIONSHIPS
We rarely work alone. The ability to develop effective workplace relationships can be crucial to achieving a successful and satisfying workplace. Effective workplace relationships also improve productivity, morale and work quality. This unit looks at building trust, confidence, networks and conflict resolution.


CUSTOMER SERVICE
Whether working with internal or external clients, the ability to deliver outstanding customer service is a highly sought after skill. This unit explores how to attract and keep customers, how to determine our customer's needs and in turn meet those needs. During this unit participants begin to develop strategies for improving customer service and ways and means to integrate these strategies into daily work practice.


CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
This unit focuses on how each participant can actively support and participate in continuous improvement in their workplace. Using problem solving strategies, participants begin to collect and analyse information to monitor and report on specific outcomes, hence supporting opportunities for further improvement.


WORKPLACE SAFETY
Basic OH&S skills are developed in a simulated workplace environment. Participants learn to identify workplace hazards, including their causes and consequences. The ability to deal with hazards in accordance with workplace policy and procedures is also developed.
